Enrichment Activities/ Complementary Studies
There is a varied programme of additional, extra-curricular and enrichment
activities planned each year by the College. Many of the activities organised
are
only available to students in the Sixth Form.
Activities include educational visits linked to the students’ courses
of study, subject conferences, opportunities for independent learning, a thriving
debating
society, after-school competitions and events, residential trips, community
involvement and charitable fund-raising.
All students are encouraged to take part in community or charity work. We
have ongoing connections with the YMCA – Branches programme, St Johns
special school, Whipps Cross Hospital, Barnardos, the local primary schools
plus
many other organisations. Many of our students take part in the mentoring
schemes and we are associated with the World Wide Volunteering Organisation.
