THE FRIENDS OF HOLY FAMILY TECHNOLOGY COLLEGE
The Friends have been a great support to the College over the years. They hold fundraising events throughout the year and the money raised from these events goes towards the improvement of facilities for our students, helping to raise standards and create an environment that is conducive to learning. Future students benefit from the support that the Friends give to the College.
Some of the events held are: quiz nights, bingo, badminton and a summer fair. Last year the Friends raised over £2,000.00. They donated £1,500.00 towards the library to buy new books, £1,000.00 to buy outdoor benches for both sites and the money made from Badminton went towards buying sports equipment for the PE department .
The Friends made a significant donation of £5,000.00 towards the new performing arts building – a project that benefits all students. The Friends have also made donations to local charities.
If you are interested in joining the Friends please come to the next meeting on the Walthamstow Site. Everyone is welcome. It is an opportunity to meet with other parents and contribute ideas on how The Friends can continue to raise funds for the College to improve on the facilities for the students.
