Science Teacher

Develop your career by joining a school which truly invests in all its staff.

Holy Family is a successful and happy school which is about to undergo a multi-million pound investment programme to enable us to expand and educate more students.

We are seeking to appoint a Science Teacher for September to join our highly successful science department.

Holy Family is a successful, well-regarded and oversubscribed secondary school. 61% of students secured a GCSE grade of 4 or above in both English and Maths in 2017, with 49% securing the new government benchmark of grade 5 or above in both subjects. Students have access to an extensive extra-curricular programme which all staff are encouraged to participate in.

Every member of the teaching staff is provided with an iPad to support and enhance teaching and learning and access to excellent programmes of professional development, which earned the school the Gold Investors in People award in March 2016.   We have an excellent record of internal career progression and promotion for our staff.  Holy Family is a very friendly and supportive Catholic school with an inclusive ethos.  In 2014 Ofsted described us as a good school “in which students display high levels of commitment and positive attitudes to learning and to doing well”.

Full details are available from the Headteacher’s PA, Mrs Fray, by email:

The closing date for applications is Friday the 10th of November 2017.

Holy Family is committed to safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children. The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure.
