Holy Family Students achieve superb GCSE results

 Congratulations to Year 11 students at Holy Family Catholic School who achieved fantastic GCSE results.  70% of students achieved both English and maths GCSE.  Overall 75% of all results were at grade C or above, with 20% of all grades awarded being an A or A*.  Student progress was exceptionally pleasing and most students have achieved the grades they need to move forward to advanced level study, many of whom will be continuing their studies in our Sixth Form.

Headteacher, Dr Andy Stone, said he was pleased to see so many hard-working students achieve the results that they deserved. 'We are really delighted and proud of the achievements of our students - they and our staff worked so hard together and we are extremely pleased to see their success. Along with our excellent A level results last week this really has been a vintage year for Holy Family.'


Amongst the outcomes there were a significant number of high achievers

  • Alexandra Francis  achieved 7 A* grades and 3 A grades.

  • Patrycja Kowalczyk 5 A* grades, 7 A grades and 1 B grade

  • Shania Rodrigues 5 A* grades and 6 A grades

  • Shania Aurelio  achieved,  5 A* grades, 5 A grades and a B grade.

  • David Kacica 5A* grades, 4A Grades, 1 B grade and 1 C grade

  • Karolina Gallagher  achieved an incredible  4 A* grades, 7 A grades, and  B grade.

  • Anna Cornelius achieved an impressive 2 A* grades, 5 A grades  and 4 B grades

  • Weronika Matczuk 4 A*grades, 7A grades and 1 B grade

  • Manuela Sadik 3 A* grades and 7 A grades

  • Joel Thevarajah 2 A* grades,  6 A grades and 2 B grades

  • Zebaish Shahbaz 1 A* grade, 7 A grades and 1 B grade

  • Anju Abraham  achieved 1A* grade 6 A grades and 3 B grades.

  • Christopher Nieuwerf 6 A grades, 3 B grades and 1 C grade

  • Milosz Nitek 6 A grades and 4 B grades

  • Daniel Nowak 6 A grades and 4 B grades

  • Ciaran Hession 5 A grades and 5 B grades


The majority of year 11 students will be staying with us to continue their level 3 study, whether it is the A Level or BTEC route. We want to congratulate all of our students and staff on the superb outcomes and wish them luck for the start of their new courses in September. Holy Family Catholic School in non-denominational in the sixth form and is happy to welcome students from all faith backgrounds.
