Achievement Evening 2015

At the every end of the summer term, we had our first ever Achievement Evening, which was held at the Assembly Rooms.  It was a fantastic event where approximately 150 students across years 7-10 were invited with their parents in recognition of the hard work and commitment they had shown throughout the year.  Students were awarded in each subject, with some receiving prizes from their year leaders.  Eight students were acknowledged by Dr. Stone with the Headteacher's prize, which recognises students not only for academic achievement but for participation in extra-curricular activities, contribution to the school and local community and generally being great ambassadors for Holy Family. The awards were supported by a range of students showcasing their talents, Shola entertained us with her fantastic singing; the Spoken Word club engaged us with their entertaining and moving poetry; the students who were involved in the school production of The Caucasian Chalk Circle gave us an encore through the video montage they developed and finally we were in awe of Andre who played the violin so beautifully.  This truly was a superb evening and was the opportunity to sae 'well done' to so many of our students, who consistently work hard and contribute such a great amount to our school.  We have next year's one booked in already,  so there will be further opportunities for students and their parents to be invited next year!
