SafeguardingOnline Safety
At Holy Family Catholic School, we place a strong emphasis on ensuring that students are safe both offline and online. As young people increasingly engage with the digital world, especially during their secondary school years, they may encounter risks such as cyberbullying, online grooming, and exposure to inappropriate content.
We take a proactive approach to online safety in line with the Department for Education’s Keeping Children Safe in Education guidance:
-
Filtered and Monitored Devices: All school devices are subject to filtering and monitoring to prevent access to harmful or inappropriate content while students are using the school’s network.
-
Education and Awareness: Online safety is embedded into our curriculum through PSHE, Computing, and form time activities. Students are taught how to navigate the digital world responsibly.
-
Support for Parents and Carers: We offer practical guidance and up-to-date resources to help families manage online safety at home.
Useful links and parent resources can be found in the section below. Together, we can support our young people in using technology safely, wisely, and confidently.
