Coaching

As part of Holy Family’s aim to provide an excellent teaching and learning experience in every classroom we run a successful coaching programme whereby teachers coach one another, sharing good practice.

Coaching takes the form of both one-to-one and group conversation, where we focus on the enhancement of learning and development through our own reflective thinking and continuous evaluation of our own classroom practice.

Coaching at Holy Family encourages teachers to become more articulate and exploratory in relation to their teaching practice and its impact on our learners. As such, we are more aware of the processes of learning, and more confident to deploy a wide range of exciting activities within the classroom that stretch and challenge all our students at all levels. The sharing of ideas through the coaching programme also means that as teachers we heighten our skills in planning, monitoring and refining teaching and learning, all which ensure that the quality of teaching at Holy Family reaches an excellent standard.
